Champs-Élysées

Illuminations until 2 am · 8/8

Two kilometres of lampposts, shop windows and late cinemas. The avenue doesn't sleep: brasseries serve until 2 am, the Galeries and Drugstore Publicis until midnight. From late November to early January, the Christmas lights make it the longest garland in Paris.

The right time

Midnight: the shops close and the avenue becomes a promenade.

Lights

Lampposts and windows until 2 am; Christmas lights from late November to early January, on from 5 pm to 2 am.

The photo spot

From the Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées towards the Arc, in the middle of the avenue while the light is red — ten seconds, no more.

The tip

Drugstore Publicis (no. 133) is open until 2 am: pharmacy, bookshop, restaurant — handy on a late night.
